Hi, I’m Andrea Wiebe.

I am made up of many different parts: a believer, a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, an immigrant, a scholar, a homemaker, a bit of a homebody, a self-critic, an over-thinker, and a human among many other descriptors.  I grew up and lived most of my life in West-Central Montana. My family are cattle and hay ranchers and big game hunting outfitters/guides. I have one biological brother and two step-sisters and a step-brother. I worked as a first responder in many capacities for many years prior to my immigration to Canada. This was how I found a passion for mental health and treating the whole person and working to come alongside people in healing and processing from all the things that life brings.

My educational background is in emergency medical response, addiction psychology and clinical mental health counseling, with a marriage and family systems specialty. I believe strongly that people are the experts in their own lives. This makes my approach to counseling person-centered and integrative.

My Approach

Approaching counseling as a helper to people, families, and/or couples that are the experts in their own lives and working to collaborate and develop goals with clients to work towards the life and relationship that they are hoping to have and maintain with themselves and others in their life.

I am a Masters-level student, completing my internship requirements for graduation from Colorado Christian University. I have specific training in mindfulness, ACT, EF(I)T, WET, along with some limited experience with other evidence-based therapeutic models.
